would love to see John Stewart as the “main” lantern. What’re your thoughts? If any

 

I know we don't always see eye to eye, but on this we are in sync.

 

Well, that Lanterns show is supposed to focus on Hal Jordan & John Stewart, I think on some kinda investigation or something. So, they’re theoretically the “main” Lanterns. I’m not a big television watcher, though, so I’ll pass on that.

My general Lantern thoughts are… Well, that Geoff Johns lore is very much so not for me, lol. Some characters and some comics are cool, but I don’t spend much time there. My personal favorite Lantern is honestly Jessica Cruz, who’s unfortunately likely a lower priority than Hal, John, Guy, Kyle, Alan, and Jo. If one of these movies uses Jess, I’ll really be hyped.

Does James Gunn not remember that Nick Fury was an end credits scene? Did no one learn the glaringly easy lesson not to hit the audience over the head with an interconnected universe in the first fucking movie?

 

I think that's a bit of an overreaction, we don't know how prevalent a role he will take

 

You think Superman's going to just walk past these guys in a room like the X-Men in Deadpool 2

 

Brainiac has been heavily rumored to be the villain in this movie. So I don’t know what him being cast as Metamorpho has to do with anything.

Also Gunn said from the start that this Superman takes places in a world of superheroes. What’s the big deal if there’s minor roles to build out the universe? It’s not like these characters are gonna all get their own movie or tv show.

James has a proven record of making movies based on Big 2 comics with lots of characters, without losing focus on the central story. I trust him until I have reason not to.

 

I think the only people doubting him are Snyder cultists. I saw a GOTG3 fight scene the other day on Twitter and virtually every reply was crying he copied Suckerpunch lol

Watched the first Keaton Batman movie for the first time last night. So cheesy but so much fun

 

Rewatched Man of Steel for the first time since it was in theaters. Loved it as much as I did back then. Will never understand the hate it got. The only bad thing about it was two dumb scenes with Jonathan Kent.

Seriously though, how did Snyder make movies as good as MoS and Watchmen when everything else he's touched since has been ass? (I do know people love 300; I haven't seen it)

 

My opinion has soured on MoS the last few years, mostly because I still feel like it didn’t use Henry to his full advantage at playing a better Clark/Superman that I think he was born to do. But Zack really did have a good run from Dawn of the Dead to Watchmen. But he made that animated owl movie that I didn’t find all that good and Sucker Punch, which is complete shit imo, before he made MoS. So it wasn’t exactly a fall from grace after that. Not saying that’s what you were saying but I feel like people forgot he had duds before BvS.

Anyway, I think he’s due for another win by now and maybe Rebel Moon will be it. I just hope the toxic fan base he’s developed doesn’t carry over going forward.

 

What are the bad scenes with jonathon? I hated the way he died lol

 

Him telling Clark that he probably should have just let the kids in the bus die was horrendous.

 

Superman and Lois having their first kiss in the dust of a half leveled major city and then saying two lines that were supposed to qualify as a joke was worse than the Pa Kent scenes

There’s stuff I like a lot about Man of Steel but it has some garbage in it
