Pretty sure James Gunn and Zack Snyder are friends. Or, if they’re not still actively in touch these days, they’re at least friendly. And, Zack’s happy working on his Rebel Moon project, which should be more exciting to Snyder fans than him hypothetically doing a 4th DC film (5th if you count Watchmen).
Well it's probably possible to be friends with him and ignore his terrible obnoxious fanbase I feel like I still see Snyder DC tweets pop up constantly on twitter
Oh sure, some of the weirdos who’ve based their entire online personality on Snyder’s DC films are still on that mess. But, I’m kinda over dwelling more than I need to on Twitter stans and basing my opinion on someone’s work on those stans, lol. I’m happy for James Gunn getting to guide the DC ship (for as long as those WB shifting sands allow); I’m happy for Zack Snyder making what looks like a really cool space movie starring the fabulous Sofia Boutella; I’m sad for any fandom that can’t see past nostalgic intellectual properties.
So, Gunn autodeletes tweets every X months. Understandable considering the last time he didn't do that, a Nazi dug up some lame jokes from his past and got him fired from Disney
I'm really hoping they'll be better off than they were the past 10 years... Just have to see how things fall in place, and hope people are willing to give the reboot a chance to not only take root, but also grow and thrive.
I thought the whole 15 years thing was an exaggeration. Thought maybe it was like 6 or so. I’m not a DC person but like who was thinking of making Black Adam 15 years ago
To be fair, for a long time The Rock was up in the air as to whether he would play Black Adam or Captain Marvel, as Black Adam is Captain Marvel's nemesis, and Captain Marvel was the film for which The Rock was originally considered.
Shazam!: The Rock Is Black Adam - /Film November 2007, fifteen years ago, before Iron Man or The Dark Knight, The Rock was already attached to Black Adam.
Actually a really good response. Dwayne has an ego but these comments certainly show that he can face reality in a positive light.
