personally I'm a fan... if this was 15 or so years ago haha. I think he could've been a solid Hal, but can we stop rumoring or looking at actors that are over 50 and would be expected to commit another 10 years to a character? haha

 

Maybe it's just the camera angles, but it looks like he has some kinda weird padding under that suit. But...

I love that suit.

I hope someone at DC is taking notes and is willing to update the Superman costume to have more of this kinda vibe. Heck, just give Cavill the dang red trunks. Really go for it.

 

I think they went the other way because, for some reason, Levi's face looks like CGI Cavill here.

Ava DuVernay to Direct DC’s Superhero Epic ‘New Gods’

 

Haven't seen Wrinkle, but I'm loving the support between these two.

 

I feel like they should figure out their hero problems first. Good for Ava though.

 

Already better than every other DC project in development. Ava working with Big Barda, Mister Miracle, etc., is perfect.

 

Probably the last property I would have ever guessed would be announced for DC. I mean it’ll be awesome, but wtf is going on over there are they just picking ideas out of a hat and that’s their movie slate now?

 

yeah I'm not sure what's going on, but at the same time, if they want to just pick DC properties to make cool movies on and not worry about crazy continuity... I wouldn't hate it haha

 

That's how I feel too. It's how we got movies like Constantine, Watchmen and Red before the shared universes were a thing.

I just finished watching it. Not totally sure how I feel about it yet.
