It always amazes me how stuff like this happens so close to production. I felt the same when Edgar Wright left Ant-Man. How do they not have a vision for the film locked down this close to filimg?!?!
I don't get how you hire someone-- then months down the line realize it's not going to work. Especially since he only re-working a script, not writing it from scratch. Hope it doesn't mean Clemons and Crudup are out too.
I think it all goes to show that they jump the gun on hiring someone before all the fine details are stapled down. Sense these movies are normally on a rushed timeline to get done to keep the CB movies flowing, I don't see it changing anytime soon. What a loss though.
RIght? You think it's just because The Rock is a huge actor right now and they wanted to lock him in for anything before Marvel could? I keep forgetting about that.....
Who knows at this point. They just seem to be throwing everything at the wall and seeing what sticks. So far, nothing has. EDIT: Btw, I would be shocked if Shazam happens.
Very excited to get Poison Ivy and Catwoman on the big screen. Significantly less excited about David Ayer directing said film after seeing that Suicide Squad mess, especially with how overly misogynistic that film was. Hopefully having Margot Robbie produce and a woman write the script helps keep the sexism to a minimum. And, hopefully Ayer learned from Suicide Squad and makes this one as good as that initial teaser for that film. And, please, for the love of all things holy, don't make me sit through more of that horrendous Jared Leto Joker performance, oh my goodness. Between this and The Batman, I'd really like to see Batgirl, but only if they're gonna do her right. I desperately want something inspired by the Burnside costume on the big screen.
Hell yeah he is, he's done more good films than bad and I think there was more good than bad with Suicide Squad. I'm excited to see Bright.
I'm pretty stoked that they aren't necessarily just going for the obvious character choices for their movies. may have to go back and reread gotham city sirens now. think I own volume 1
Are they really making a Deadshot spinoff? They've barely tapped the INCREDIBLE wealth of characters they have to make movies for, and they give a solo for fucking Deadshot? Idc if it's Will Smith, thats a fucking waste of a movie.
Latest rumor, and emphasis on the rumor part, is that Megan Fox may be up for the role as Poison Ivy.
she has that Jennifer's Body experience, still haven't seen it but feel like I've heard good things about her performance
I'm not feeling that at all. Give me Ruth Wilson or Ruth Negga as Poison Ivy. Not sure who I'd like as Catwoman.
That moment in DKR when she screams bloody murder to fake out the cops and then quickly composes herself always gave me chills.
