Finally, a Joker movie.

 

Haven't seen anyone play the Joker since The Dark Knight.

 

Also, this one would be in love with a Harley? What a new, forward-thinking idea.

 

Really, what I want is a Gotham City Sirens film. Or at least Harley & Ivy.

Gimme my girl Pamela Isley, James Gunn.

 

Yeah, the Joker and Harley dynamic is pretty old and tired, plus with Cregger I feel almost certain what kind of movie we'd end up with.

 

regarding Harley and Joker, I love Harleen but from stuff he's done in that world since i'm pretty sure Stjepan fully intended that iteration of the character to eventually end up with Ivy, and i don't think the world is ready for a live-action Harley+Ivy from the mind that made Sunstone

 

Wonder if this is any indication that Marvel is fully scrapping her character at this point

 

I hope not. She's not the reason ppl didn't like that movie.

 

I don't think there's a rule that stipulates you can't be in both Marvel and DC films.

 

I just remember all the reports saying that Ali kept putting his career on hold due to Blade continually being pushed back, so idk!

Guess she was never committed to a film though that we know of

 

Right, and I'm sure if she was, then they'd schedule around it, but in Ali's case there was always the possibility of them imminently starting filming, and he's the star. But even he got to do a Jurassic Park.

 

Xochitl needs to join that Iman/Hailee(/Kathryn) team-up

It's occurring to me that when we finally get the Champions it's going to be like, 90% girls.

I know I was bitchy recently in one of the Marvel threads about people sharing social media posts that were just quoting articles already posted, lol. But, like. Wanting to read the source has its advantages.

 

I just don’t understand why this movie is a priority for the first wave of films for the DCU. I know Gunn loves his weird horror stuff, but this gives me suicide squad 2016 vibes for being the 3rd film in the DCEU.

It just doesn’t seem like the time or place to release a film centered on a Batman villain when the Batman of the DCU hasn’t been established on screen.
