Definitely into that. Edge of Tomorrow was so fun. Though, I always liked that GDT was attached and was hoping he would bring a "horror" aspect to the movie. Apparently they're still using his script, so I wonder what the tone is going to be.
So he jumped from Gambit to this? Love him as a director but would rather him do something else that's been announced, like Shazam or Green Lantern. With their slate so far out, when will we even see this? Seems like a weird announcement.
Alright, so there is Deathstroke is a guy named Slade Wilson, while Marvel has Deadpool who is Wade Wilson. Seriously, are they not even trying to come up with slight differences between similar characters?
Berlantiverse seems to be expanding again. ‘Black Lightning’ DC Superhero Series In Works From Greg Berlanti | Deadline
Awesome! I loved how he'd pop up in Judd Winick's Green Arrow run and was in the Justice League after Infinite Crisis.
The TV universe is actually becoming a bit much at this point. It'd be one thing if the quality of the other shows held up, but I could barely get through Arrow last season, Flash was strictly ok and I didn't finish Legends of Tomorrow due to how exhausting the narrative was. Not exactly hopeful for the future of the berlantiverse.
Dunno, but any reports on this, JL Dark and Shazam I'm not taking too seriously. We have to get so many other films first, by the time these ones come around so much can change.
It's just so weird to me that they'd be building a cinematic universe, but then release a movie set either in a television universe or its own. Unless they plan on doing a Crisis film someday that combines their worlds? I think the most likely bet is probably that it's in the same world, like Shazam will be, but not tied into the Justice League narrative anytime soon. And, maybe it being so separate was blown out of proportion by those reporting on it.
I remember Shazam being reported as being separate and then reports recently state that it's apart of the DCEU. That's why I think nothing should be taken seriously from these quotes. Movies take years to make so while everyone involved are still just in the planning phase and none of it should be news because it can all change.
That is a good thing. It upsets me when I realize that in the time I spent watching Batman v. Superman and Suicide Squad I could have just rewatched Magic Mike XXL for a fourth and fifth time and been much happier.
Black Lightning TV Series Lands At Fox Noooooooo, Black Lightning is so cool but Gotham is sooo bad. Holding out hope.
