The show is going to be about the Amazons of Themyscira before WW is born. I think that’s all that has been revealed.
Gunn has used the mermaid emoji many times on teases that have nothing to do with Aquaman. So I’m going to assume The Authority, since they appear in Superman, and already have a film announced.
Just watched the first Jason Mamoa Aquaman for the first time and man that was pretty sick. The fight sequences and CGI blows so many MCU movies out of the water
Not sure that using Hal Jordan or Ryan Renolds was the problem with Green Lantern. I mean, isn't Stewart in this too?
It’s not a movie, it’s a series. And I’m pretty sure Hal and John are supposed to be co-leads. John would be Earth’s protector and therefore the main GL. If the casting is even true, it’d make sense to focus on a big name for Hal first. John could be a lesser known or unknown actor. James Gunn will probably debunk it by the end of the day anyway. Lol
Yeah it doesn’t really make sense to me but my knowledge is also waning. Would it make sense for Hal to have an actor older than Guy Gardner?
Hal Jordan is, to me, emblematic of DC Comics fandom (including fanboy writers) in the worst way. Granted, Green Lantern comics did (for me) peak with the Silver Age material that was about Hal… but that’s 100% because Gil Kane & John Broome were making very fun comics, lol, not because of anything intrinsic about Hal himself.
Not really the fault of Hal though. Like, people are shitty and dumb, we don't need to blame a fictional character for that, especially when there are so many real ones to choose from.
