Maybe WB press will finally have images I can legally use for my Hidden Remote articles now! I asked them for some and they told me they were still working on them. This is probably why.
It still bums me out that the series never had a proper end and they jumped ship to Batman Beyond without a good final episode (the last ep was the Twoface posing as The Judge). We still got closure to the universe in Justice League unlimited though.
Batman vs. Two-Face is an enjoyable 70min. Would've loved to see Adam West do more of these throwback Batman movies.
Yeah, not sure how I feel about that. I liked the Gaslight story well enough, but that trailer looked... odd.
HEY! It's been a while, more than a year in fact. Batman TAS on blu-ray is cool news. I started watching and stopped around ep 17 or 18 haha and just forgot about it. Do want to finish it eventually. Here are the movies I've watched. Liked or loved all, esp Flashpoint, Assault on Arkham, and JL vs TT. What do y'all rec? Thank you. JL vs TT Batman: Assault on Arkham JL War Wonder Woman JL Flashpoint Paradox JL New Frontier Batman: Under the Red Hood JL Crisis on Two Earths
Not a bad one in the bunch you listed. I actually think that WW and Assault in Arkham are better than their live action counter parts. You've seen a lot of my favorites so far, I'd recommend the two Batman/Superman movies for sure though, those are two of the best.
A few of the films lately have had like brief nudity (always Harley I think) but its the brief graphic nudity that seems out of place and off putting.
The trailer doesn't look very good. I'll give it a shot though as always though because 1 - its DC and 2 - Assault on Arkham was really really good. I wonder if this ties in or not? Hard to tell by the animation, some characters look the same and some do not.
I tired to watch it too late last night and fell asleep about 15 mins in. All I can say is so far it earns its R rating no doubt and the voice acting and animation is good. Hopefully I'll have time to see finish it soon.
Teen Titans GO! movie cast is bonkers. Teen Titans GO! to the Movies, a new animated film featuring everyone’s favorite teen superheroes engaging in some fart jokes, won’t just feature the Teen Titans – adult superheroes will be popping up in the movie as well. And best of all: Nicolas Cage will play Superman. Cage and two others have joined the Teen Titans movie cast. Nicolas Cage will finally have a chance to play the Man of Steel. Cage almost took on the role of Superman for director Tim Burton in the Kevin Smith-scripted Superman Lives, but production troubles prevented the film from ever getting off the ground. Now, more than 20 years later, Cage will play Superman in the animated film Teen Titans GO! to the Movies. USA Today reports Cage has joined the cast, along with singer/songwriter Halsey, who will be voicing Wonder Woman, and rapper Lil Yachty will voice Green Lantern. While the film primarily focuses on the young members of the Teen Titans – Robin, Beast Boy, Cyborg, Raven and Starfire – some adult heroes will pop up as well. DC’s live-action movies have succumbed to doom and gloom lately, but Teen Titans Go to the Movies might reverse all that. The candy-colored animated flick is geared toward a younger audience, and looks to make light of all the cinematic superhero darkness we’ve come to expect. As an official Old Person, I’m not very familiar with Halsey and Lil Yachty, but I’m sure youngsters out there will embrace this casting whole-heartedly. Adding Cage to the cast as Superman, however, is a masterstroke. My interest in this project has increased considerably based on his casting alone. Cage came very close to playing the part on screen before, going so far as to try out different Superman costumes. For more on Cage’s past attempts to play Superman, seek out the documentary The Death of Superman Lives, which is where the above image of Cage in costume comes from. “Every superhero in the DC Universe has an impact on the fans, so we felt a great responsibility to find a voice for each character that would not only suit the role, but the playful tone of the Titans, and we’re thrilled with our cameo cast,” executive producer Sam Register told USA Today. Other Teen Titans Go to the Movies cast members include Greg Cipes as Beast Boy, Scott Menville as Robin, Khary Payton as Cyborg, Tara Strong as Raven, Hynden Walch as Starfire, Will Arnett as Slade Wilson aka Deathstroke, Kristen Bell as Jade Wilson, and James Corden as everyone’s favorite character, Balloon Man.
I have no idea how or why a glorified television special for an unpopular animated series (that gets unfairly compared to a fundamentally different prior iteration) got a theatrical wide release. But, since I have Movie Pass, I'll totally end up seeing this in theaters. Anyways, Nicolas Cage voicing Superman is absolutely fantastic. I'm all in on that decision.
Never forget that Cage in his Superman suit actually looked better than Routh and Cavill in their suits. Though I'm still pulling for a new Cavill Superman film (not called Man of Steel 2) with a better costume and feel.
