Surprised he isn’t much bigger on this site, but this is excellent per usual. He’s so damn consistent. Also seeing him tomorrow at a brewery in MA
Stoked to finally take this on the go after getting the vinyl weeks early.... Dave is super consistent but this is release is above and beyond my favorite of his so far.
I loved Devour, really liked Bury Me in Philly, and didn’t end up connecting too much with the next two — but this one’s absolute class on first listen. Definitely some of his best songs on here.
I love all of his albums, and this one certainly doesn't break that streak. Phenomenal album. Can't believe I missed this. Would have loved to try to make it work.
Faces is one of my favorite breweries in the "outside of Boston" area and was SO pumped when I saw he was playing there. However, I was a day late to seeing it and missed tickets for night 1. Thank god I got tickets for night 2. Great time!!
giving Dave a listen for the first time, started with the newest which is really, really good. loved Bury Me in Philly just as much. Listening to Kick now and, well, it is also good.
I wanna say Brian Fallon wanted to originally title Rollin’ & Tumblin’ as the Great Depression but didn’t because that Dave Hause song just came out haha
I like the new album a lot, but I do kind of wish he had picked either "Cheap Seats" or "Pedal Down" to open the album and put "Damn Personal" as track two. Those first two songs have pretty similar structures and make for a bit of a slow start in my opinion.
Yeah, I think this album (only have listened once) is a little thinner than the past few - it's still good - but I don't think I LOVE ALL TEN SONGS like I have on previous albums
front half of this is significantly cooler than the back but this was a cool intro to him. solid record. cool will hoge produced it, sounds like a lot of butch walkers’ production work but fits the more ballad-y tracks better than i feel like butch’s touch does sometimes
Blown away by this album. Always loved 3-4 songs on each of Dave's album, but he nailed this one. For someone who works so hard on his craft, it's special to see it all come together.
