Two seasons down, one more to go. I think Season 2 was a minor step down from season 1 (still great) although season 2’s finale was one of the best episodes of either season.
I know this series is considered widely over, but it’s interesting that immediately following S3, Dave is quoted in Rolling Stone saying Ally would have a bigger role moving forward and saying things like “we’ll see where things go” with certain storylines so it didn’t sound like the original intent was to be 3 & done. Wondering what happened in the following year to change from that to pretty much no chance moving forward. I think the reasoning in 2024 was so that Dave could focus on other things, but hindsight shows us he hasn’t really done much in the last two years - other than recently starting the Friends Keep Secrets podcast.
From what I have read, Dave is not very different in real life than he is in the show, so I wouldn't be surprised if he thought he would be able to get huge projects off the ground off the success of it that have stalled out
Very possible. That said, I think Friends Keep Secrets is going to be huge (if it's not already). It's possible he's working on new music too? He released a few freestyles within the past few months.
