He did a couple of podcasts this week. Basically said that he doesnt see rap and music as a long term thing, so he wants to take advantage of this time now to focus on it. Sounds like he’s got another album almost ready to go.
But he did say that creating TV and film is his ultimate passion, so I can see Dave the show going back into production next year. Also mentioned he’s almost done with a script for a coming of age movie.

 

Something tells me getting good reviews on something for once is gonna inflate his ego like crazy lol. I love the show so I'll give him the benefit of the doubt for now but I'm not sure he's earned the Larry David/Donald Glover treatment yet imo

It is really cool that FX is letting him pursue whatever he wants though, what a cool network

Sorry for the not-really-news bump. I think there were a lot of people hoping that Dave was maybe just on an extended hiatus, but it seems Andrew Santino has officially put the nail in the coffin

I figured that was the case from the article last year about it

 

yeah, them having plans for a fourth season would've been way more of a surprise

 

That’s a shame but it did go out a high note imo

 

I remember Dicky doing an interview last year around the album release saying he’s graduated from TV and wants to work on a film next.

 

Bummer news, but maybe it’s for the best after the last episode and how it wrapped up

 

I need to go back and watch the last episode, I loved this show but I don't even remember how it ended.
