Daughter - Not to Disappear Album • Page 2

I've read these comments and gather that its probably a dark, moody album? Never listened to them(him/she/it?) before. Have a RIYL?

 

Three-piece band with a frontwoman. RIYL is kinda tough for me to do, but if you're into atmospheric indie rock then this is for you.

 

I remember people comparing it to Now, Now's Threads, which I would agree on.

 

I don't drive to work but now I wish I did just for this reason.

 

Yeah I think I would agree on that too. I also feel like there's crossover between Daughter fans and Foxing and MovMou fans, or at least MovMou's sound from the S/T and Prawn split.

 

Holy crap, what a live show. She seems like the cutest, sweetest thing ever.

 

Listening to this is legit making me so sad and happy at the same time.

 

Just listening to this now... reeeeally enjoying it.

 

Reminder that this is easily one of the best records of the year.

 

Almost July and this still stands as my album of the year.

 

This is up there for me. This and James Blake are 1 and 1a.

 

This is in my top 5-6 for the year so far.

 

Yep still top 5 for me, though bumped from number 1 by The Hotelier.

 

Realised today that Doing The Right Thing is about Alzheimer's. Really moving stuff.

This album grows more on me every time I listen to it.

 

Very excited to see them tonight. Julien Baker has to be the PERFECT opener for Daughter.

 

Julian Baked opening for Daughter sounds like a very heartbreaking night.

 

Once it gets cold again, this album will destroy me. It's a bit windy tonight and it set a decent tone for the record, but I just need to experience this record at frigate, isolated force again.

Got real dark out for the last couple hours of my drive back from vacation, threw this on for the first time since probably March. Still love it, almost forgot how much though.

 

I was just thinking about throwing this on for the first time in a few months. I think I'll do that tonight when I'm in bed.

 

With the weather colder once again, this has shot back up into my top five for the year. I can even see it becoming my number one with more time.

 

Can't stop listening to this album lately, especially before bed. Total mood music for me and I absolutely love it. I'm a moody dude, haha.
