I did, against my better judgement, enjoy their set, but there were definitely some odd moments. Can't deny they got the crowd moving though!

    Couple random things.

-I finally took the time to listen to the Swiss Army Bro-Mance and was really impressed with what Chris did with his covers. NFG did fine, but it’s basically what you’d expect of them in 2009. Chris’s had a more unique take on them. Very cool. Happy I caught it when they added them to the relaunched merch store.

-I’m in the Saints and Sailors fan club and the monthly videos chat was last night. Chris took a good chunk of it to talk about The Shade Of Poison Trees. I had no idea that the album was birthed from Chris not wanting to record the way the label wanted and he made a deal with them to let him do this if he paid for it himself and that there was no marketing until it released. He did say maybe there was a little marketing, but not much really. I had no clue. I don’t remember the lack of marketing. He then walked through each track talking about them. The one that stuck out to me the most was for Where There’s Gold. I never looked into it that deeply, but he wrote it about the label and people involved with that whole process. He didn’t want to be direct about it, but there was tension.

I’m gonna spin Shade now. It feels like a solid fall album to me.

Also, he mentioned that on the current tour he’s noticed a lot of teen-20’s kids singing the newer stuff with as much passion as the OG’s do for the old stuff. He said it’ll impact future setlists, hopefully that come to fruition.

I still have the DVD. It's pretty legendary.

Also, I recently listened to ATTTICT and it holds up very well.

I love how the fashion of this crowd gives a glimpse into the early 2000's pre-Myspace/pre-"scene" emo fan. Polo shirts, backwards caps, puka shell necklaces lol
