Their new record is fantastic and has some classic Dashboard material on it IMO. Who cares? You still have the old songs. So does he. People have the same complaints about Weezer. People change, and I respect any artist who isn't afraid to continuously push their boundaries, regardless of the result.
"Up in the club, they throw a party We want to go, but dont have no I.D. Kids with the lids, flip the ollies" He should've thrown in a "lit" or "fam" ahaha. Hello fellow kids...
Can't help but wonder if this is a one-off tied to the beginning of their tour with All Time Low (major pop punk band, of course) starting tomorrow...
he played this at AC Beer Fest two years ago. stated it was written for someone else and they’d probably never play it again. not defending it. it’s bad. just saying.
Comment section delivered... Been consistently let down since after Dusk and Summer to where I just don't want to hear anything new by him and live in the past. And with what I've read here, seems like I'll just skip on taking a listen to this one.
I kind of wish Chris would keep doing Further Seems Forever. Both of the albums with him really pushed what he's capable of.
I thought Poison Trees, Alter, Twin Forks and Crooked Shadows were all bad, but none of them reached the lows of this (although that Cash Cash collab came close) I realize he’s never gonna make another “This Brilliant Dance” again, but he doesn’t have to stoop this low.
I kept waiting for this song to get better, but uh... haha that was an awkward listen. Like everytime 'ey' would pop up again, it was just like cmon. Still a fan of all their other stuff so whatever. As someone said earlier, it's a one off, right?
Tate, did people not like "Rapid Hope Loss" when it came out? It's one of my favorites off of A Mark..., a charting single, and it has the highest rating out of all their singles on RYM, so I thought it was a generally well-liked song.
People have hated, to some degree, every Dashboard album since The Swiss Army Romance. The moment the second one came out people were saying he sold outa.
Anytime I read the title, I realize a little while later that the chorus is just silently repeating in my head so I guess that's a feat
Song seems to have been around at least 2 years so hopefully just a one off. Not into it but it seems like he has released it to tie in with the tour with All Time Low.
