Dashboard Confessional – “Heart.Beat.Here”

Pretty good. Sounds like The Almost to me.

 

Enjoyable song. Bought two tickets, also. Dashboard in the winter to keep us warm.

 

Decent song. I'll need to get used to his voice if this is how the whole album will sound.

 

Much better than that mess of a song 6months ago
Still not into it as much as Twin Forks which was his best gear since Dusk & Summer

Geez, that opening verse riff sounds so familiar. Can't name it though.

 

Anyone have any word on why Chris' voice sounds so.....strained and well....kinda weak?

I think he sounds normal here. But thought he struggle in the last released song and that horrid (mostly unknown) covers album a few years ago

Pretty bad song, but my god, it sounds JUST like something. I need to figure this out. Those verses are an absolute dead ringer for a track I cannot place.

I love Dashboard, but I am not loving this

 

Don't get why people aren't in to this. This is Chris back at the roots of Dashboard. I think it's great.

 

I really enjoyed this. It has a certain unrefined quality to the recording. Really hope he keeps that for the album and doesnt shine it up like Dusk and Summer.

His voice definitely sounds slightly strained, it did in Twin Forks too but i think it adds to the music.

 

Verses reminded me of X-Ambassadors - Renegades.

As for the song itself, I like it. Not one of the finest Carrabba's compositions, but it's really enjoyable.

 

Actually liked that album (and his story.)

 

the opening sounds exactly like "mess is mine" by vance joy

 

I surprisingly liked that too.

 

Verse vocals sounds really similar to this to me, but that being said it's not a terribly unique melody so there are probably many songs in a similar vein.
