The area with the god damn deer in that blizzard is the worst area in any DS game to me. The ivory King boss was fine though. The two Tigers were decent also. Old iron King is my favorite. Sir Alonne is one of my favorite boss fights. Sunken King was good too
BB is honestly one of my favorite games ever and.. i've never played the DLC. iirc i got frustrated because i could only enter it on NG+ and it was wayyyy too tough for me. Time to start a new character maybe..
I think I've fully explored/finished the DLC now. I'm a sucker for snowy areas so this was right up my alley. The final boss was a blast too, challenging and satisfying to get right after some time learning the patterns (and dying). LAST BOSS SPOILER: THREE FUCKING FORMS goddamn I just had a great time playing a little more Souls.
Just finished it. Had a lot of fun, the area was cool, it was cool fighting that phantom in Priscilla's boss arena and that final boss is fucking bonkers. But it's sooo short. I beat the whole DLC in less than 4 hours, and that was with me taking my time/exploring everything. The weapons are kind of underwhelming too (Onyx blade looks sick, but I don't have the int (or faith?) to use it. Can't help but feel like they should've combined the two DLC's like they did for Bloodborne. Just felt too light
Yea that shit was short. I haven't beat the last boss yet, I got about halfway through the final phase solo which Im fairly proud of or tried the PVP area yet though.
I wear light armor and don't use a shield/block so haven't noticed on me, but it did seem like I broke other people's guard more
In honor of Halloween, I'm firing up Bloodborne and DS3, jamming AFI and My Chemical Romance, and eating a shit ton of awful candy.
DLC was very short, but it was very good. That last boss fight was bonkers. Even though I actually did it first out of the 2 boss fights. Didnt even see the first one until @pumpkintree showed me.
So Nioh seems to be the new popular kid on the block. I cant wait to play it. Also new DS3 DLC coming out
Just reached a point in Nioh where it did something I kind of hate, but I'm still having a blast. The combat is excellent, it's been hard to devote myself to just one type of weapon/unlocking skills for one type because they're all so much fun. It does some neat things to set it apart from Souls, I really liked idea of remixing levels for shorter submissions, those have been fun.
I've had DS3 sitting in my pile. I can't justify buying Nioh until I finish it. I've spent the last few days clearing a few areas, and leveling up for good measure. Wednesday I was able to take out both High Lord Wolnir and the Old Demon King with ease. Neither really put up a challenge. The funny thing is that I had more trouble with the Fire Demon before the Demon King. Now comes the part where I have begun to struggle. It all started with Pontiff Sulyvahn. This is the first boss to give me any kind of trouble. I died at least five times trying to beat him. It didn't matter if I tried to evade his attacks, he still hit me. It was frustrating to say the least. Now the area after Irithyll of the Boreal Valley is killing me inside. I've explored the area with the two attackers, giants, and fire mages. I found the trick wall leading down to the next bonfire. However, those damn werewolf crocodile creatures kept killing me. I figured they would be easy like the previous one on the bridge. But NOPE. I either get it down to one hit remaining or they two shot me. Thankfully I was finally able to kill them, and get that great ring. Now I'm just trying to beat the Devourer of Gods. Right now I'm still using the Butcher Knife +6. I'm slowly transitioning into using the Fume Ultra Greatsword. My problem will be adjusting to how slow the slow is, but it should offset with it being so deadly.
I'm an idiot, and didn't realize you use the shrines to level up. I thought they were just to heal, and respawn enemies.
