Exactly! Figured I'd at least plant my feet in DS3 first. Also bought Overwatch because it's a blast too
Yes sir will do. I don't have a headset yet but I'm always down to play. I'll letcha know what my ID is once I make it
Nah it didn't. At least I don't think it did. I got a pre-owned one because that's all the local GameStop had.
I don't understand why they don't just call him Seigmeyer, he's the exact same character. Same voice actor too. Drives me insane
hes so charming. i got the biggest grin when he said "sorry, was deep in thought". I became a Souls fan this year and I'm already nostalgic about the first one lol. Also really cool to see Andre back. So far I'm loving it, but it definitely feels harder than 1 or 2. The fact that you can drink OJ and move is really nice, plus it seems like stamina refills quicker. I love the weapon arts and the different possibilities with those. Cant wait to start getting deeper into the game. Now I have to make the perfect fashion souls. Hopefully I can pick up the Fallen Knight set soon.
yeah that is kind of irksome. is it supposed to be his son or something? Either way I love that armor set. Cool how the helmet pops open sideways. I always assumed that they were fat but it turns out the armor is just really really bulky.
You're finding it harder? I think most people found 3 pretty easy compared to 1 and 2. 3 was definitely the easiest for me.
He's not the same person though, this is way, way after the first game. Things go in cycles so he's like a spiritual successor.
Time is convoluted etc etc I get it, but I want to be like "HELLO OLD FRIEND" and not like "HELLO FAMILIAR PERSON"
yeah so far but I think it has more to do with me gettin used to playing on a console than anything. oh yeah thats right this takes place thousands of years after the first probably. its interesting how time works in the Souls games in addition to the lore. I was explaining to a friend why I find the lore so enthralling and he asked me how the 1st and 2nd one ended. I basically told him that your actions have no real consequences, the world continues on with the undead plague and youre but a footnote and he really didnt like that. I saw an interesting theory regarding bonfires and how they reset everything in the world. Apparently, time might slow down around bonfires or at the very least they put our characters in a long trance. This causes everything to sort of rebuild while you just sit there. Pretty interesting.
its all very strange but very interesting. Solaire's words in Dark Souls 1 always ring in my ear whenever something familiar happens, in addition to his normal catchphrases of "praise the sun" and "jolly cooperation"
Also, I do think Dark Souls 3 is hard early on. It's super hard to get Souls in the first half of the game, theres definitely some frustrating moments. Dark Souls 1 is easiest to me just because I have like thousands of hours in it, but Bloodborne is probably easiest overall. [EDIT] easiest other than chalice dungeons, fuck you defiled Amygdala. Fuck you a thousand times
i do too. i think i saw it in the subreddit? i cant remember. but it makes a lot of sense. also the whole "unkindled" thing has been throwing me off. I do like that when you have an ember your character has little flame marks on them. guess it makes sense with the whole "uniting the flame" theme ive been picking up.
exactly! I feel like its taking me ages to get souls. feels like Vordt gave me hardly any and im used to at least getting a good bit from bosses. but i dont really mind grinding so its not too bad i suppose. finding the claymore early was a godsend. think im gonna go with a str build since thats usually my first character build then branch out from there with different characters and playthroughs
I didn't die in DS3 until like the third boss. I think Bloodborne is probably the hardest of them all because even after beating the first two Dark Souls I still found it incredibly difficult. I had the most trouble with 2 but that was the first I beat all the way through and when I went back to 1 after that it was super easy.
The Fallen Knight armor looks even better in person. Think I just found my permanent fashion souls. These dudes with the fucking log spears are a pain.
