it is an important part of music history - some would argue they invented industrial music! but some of the music that arose from that circle of people (immediate & periphery) I really love like Current 93 and Coil
Completely missed that there was a new Prurient album earlier this year. Listening now and it's fucking great.

Let's see if what's on my mind fits this thread. I've been diving into Squarepusher's discography, I got in initially expecting accessible drum and bass, yet he dabbles in many other genres and isn't afraid to experiment. I found myself challenged the most by this album as it gets very noisy at times, Steinbolt in particular. Would Autechre fit in here? Also a first time listener, I'm currently going through the NTS Sessions stuff and it often gives me a similar uneasy feeling I'm not used to have with music.
Bump for recommendations. Really been enjoying harsh noise/power electronics/industrial stuff lately, but I'm not all that plugged into the "scene." Any newer stuff y'all could throw my way would be much appreciated. Currently combing through the Total Black bandcamp page and finding a lot to like there.
