I'm pretty sure the line was like "I'd rather die a devil than live as Matt Murdoch." And there was a line about light not being able to fight the darkness. Only darkness can fight darkness. So he's definitely embracing the darker side of himself.
I thought it started slow but got better. I wouldn’t rank it higher than DD1 & JJ1. It’s definitely worth watching and enjoyable overall.
Finally started this series and finished the first season. Not what I was expecting and so glad. Instantly one of my favorite shows. I know season 2 is supposedly not as good but still looking forward to it.
