Officially no, but maybe? Pretty sure it's that island he and Vanessa mentioned earlier in the season.
He's in a prison + Hand = DEFINITELY MAYBE So no repercussions at all? Wasn't part of the deal to turn himself in? Or was it just resign and he gets away with everything?
My feeling is that it only feels off because we would normally expect Kingpin to go to prison and never get out, but we've seen multiple times now that in universe this position is untenable. I mean, Kingpin has killed lots of people, either himself or through proxies. This way he's exiled, away from the city, away from resources or any way to reclaim power in New York. Could he start a new criminal empire wherever he is? Sure, but they don't give a fuck. Also, pretty sure it will not be public knowledge that Fisk took a deal; the public will probably just know he fled the country.
Resign, flee the country, and never return. Which is actually something that happened to him in the comics.
to be fair he has to focus in to hear stuff and his senses were probably attuned to the people in his own hallway, but yeah its still goofy as hell I am kinda ready to see some villains who aren't Fisk for a while though
Great finale to a great season. It might even be my favorite marvel season of television. Definitely expect to see Matt show up in the prison scene in Brand New Day. As for Matt letting Fisk go, it’s as he said in the episode: grace. No one deserves grace, yet it’s freely given to all who accept it, and that’s the point of it. Kingpin deserves punishment, and his ego definitely shattered (which is arguably more powerful than his fists lol), but he was pardoned through grace. Goes perfectly well with Matt’s beliefs.
With all the heavy-handed allegory to Trump this season, it makes perfect sense to me. It's the whole "I could shoot someone on 5th avenue" scenario. With all the damage he's done and all the collateral damage that will incur getting him out of power, we know there will never be any consequences faced except by those lower on the totem like the task force members who are now in jail with Matt. Was wild to see a reverse January 6th.
Random thought, have the comics ever shown if a night club is like, daredevils kryptonite? Lol. Feel like the vibrations and sounds would be masked by all dat bass EDIT Btw totally forgot that Punisher special is next week still. I'm stoked.
Hope Frank is sent to the same prison at the end of BND and literally annihilates that fuck in the S3 opener Matt can't do enough to satisfy me when it comes to that guy haha
What a great fucking episode and series overall. Absolutely loved it, one of the best things Marvel has done since Endgame. Kinda gutted it’s over.
I wonder what the chances are of these characters getting their own non-DD shows again. Even if it's a team up show. Not overly hopeful with how scaled back Disney has been getting with Marvel stuff, but I'd be down for some kind of Defenders show or just a Jessica/Luke show
As long as Jessica's in it. Though I know she wasn't really a core member of that, and then it's pretty much just The Defenders minus Matt lol

It was a little silly, but I liked seeing her get something to do. This show will probably be her only appearance so, sure, go with it
