Michael so adamantly wanting an all white duck as a pet is the most Tony Soprano thing ever, I wonder if they make him think of his dad. Or, y'know, it's just 'cause ducks are cool as fuck. Both are perfectly valid reasons.
I've hit Defenders on my rewatch and man this show is so frustrating, it's like every good decision got sabotaged right after they made it let's open with Danny fighting Elektra, awesome! let's shoot it in pitch black and edit it so you can't see a fuckin thing! or let's cast Sigourney Weaver and get her to do nothing but sit around and do vaguely sinister monologues for 6 episodes
I maintain that her CGI got better as the episodes went on. Either that or I just started getting used to it the further I watched, but I'm choosing to believe it's the former.
I liked all the scenes with Maslany as herself more than any of the She-Hulk scenes. Maslany has charm, but I didn’t like She-Hulk’s design. It just felt off. I’d be excited to see her return to help Matt, but I wouldn’t be interested in seeing her covered in CGI
So Bullseye replaced Luke Cage who was working for Mr. Charles who is working for Valentina? Some of the episode was so silly haha. Fisk saying "boo!" and Angela slamming dudes' faces into walls I was kinda expecting Matt and Fisk to both end up in jail, though I guess in a sense Fisk did lose everything. Perhaps least surprising of all, Heather finally put on the mask. That plotline felt so slow for some reason Krysten is heavily underutilized imo. Like, she's just there to be there. Give her back her show dammit
It was nice to see Alias, even for just a moment. And of course Luke. Sorry, I'm afraid you'll have to settle for Daredevil: Born Again: Season 3: The Defenders: Season 2.
really really good. Charlie acting his ass off in that courtroom scene, "sorry pal wrong Bullseye", Luke motherfucking Cage. so many hype moments truly very silly though that the deal Fisk got offered was still valid after he went on a killing spree and left DNA evidence everywhere of him killing like 50 dudes? how is that not life in prison? there was surely a better way to end the mayor storyline than that kinda can't believe Buck is still alive too, he's gonna have even less to do with the plot now the mayor stuff is done. it's like they're compensating for killing Wesley too soon by having him hang around for fucking ever
