I know that's the rumor but I'm still not sure how we get there. She's definitely going off the rails, but her storyline is being drip-fed and it still feels so far away from that conclusion.
really fuckin good episode, they've been on fire since episode 2. Ritter hasn't aged a day somehow and she slipped back into the role without a hitch. the reintroduction scene was brilliant, thought the warehouse scene coulda gone a bit harder though and I need Powell to die expeditiously glad I didn't try to dodge spoilers because they were not keeping this secret at all lol, massive JJ banner on D+ and her name in the credits too. excited to see her with Luke again, wonder if they'll address his Godfather moment at the end of LC2 this was probably Woll's best acting in the show to date too. her being just fully willing to pull the trigger on Dex in cold blood was wild as hell. "you keep choosing the wrong people over the one you love" was a banger line and accurate still don't give a shit about Heather but the shot of her crying matching Muse's red paint was slick
also rewatched the previous episode and the way it plays with death markers and audience assumptions is super cool. you start out assuming Vanessa is gonna die, then it shifts to Dex and even Daniel for a minute then swings back to Vanessa at the end. really clever way to do a 'someone's gonna die this episode' thing
Love watching DD and Fisk fight. Glad she's back but the intro of JJ felt a random, wish they built that up a little better.
If the last two episodes land, this will be my favorite season of any Marvel Television show. It's currently tied with Wonder Man and Loki S1
bouncing between the new episodes and rewatching s2 and apart from the cinematography and colour grading being so much better in the old seasons (which is a way bigger problem than just this show, it's everywhere) I think the biggest thing I miss is Matt's apartment and the gritty NY feeling it had. that shit was such a vibe
