i'm so far behind (stopped the Defenders stuff at DD season 2), and have a couple other shows i'm trying to get through, but i might consider binging the other stuff next week when my partner is out of town. i know it's very well-loved. this is also a good reason to finally get around to Luke Cage, since i absolutely love Mike Coulter on Evil.
I’ve only seen DD and Luke Cage season 1 but my wife and I decided to watch them in order. So we’re about halfway through Jessica Jones season 1. There’s so much to watch.
frankly you can skip... quite a lot of it lol. just make it through to DD3 somehow, truly incredible season of TV
i know Iron Fist is more or less a skip, but i've heard good things about The Punisher and Luke Cage, LOVED season 1 of Jessica Jones, and really wanna see The Defenders as a fan of the villain's actor, so i guess i'll just watch it all for the context
Iron Fist s2 is lowkey fantastic but sitting through 1 and Defenders to get there is a herculean task lmao. I also like to pretend Punisher only had the one season, I sleep so much better that way
Iron fist, JJ S2 and LC S2 are the only Netflix marvel shows/seasons I didn't bother with due to hearing they were pretty "meh"
The only criticism I can think offhand is that the storyline with Billy felt so disconnected from Frank and everything he was doing, and I wish that hadn't been the case. On the other hand, there is something darkly funny about Billy going on this personal journey and the minute he finally reunites with Frank, Frank shoots him without hesitation because that's just how little Frank cares about his bullshit.
Sorry. The funny thing is after I posted it, I realized I probably should spoiler tag it and went back to do that, but alas, I was TOO LATE.
I probably liked Iron Fist more than some of the more recent Disney + shows now that I think about it. Idk I haven’t seen it since it came out and I haven’t gone back to rewatch any of the others either.
