That was some straight up 80's horror special effects gore. Loved it.

 

Maybe the most violent marvel scene ever? Even more than Deadpool?

I just hope this show lasts beyond next season. I read that while the viewership was good in the beginning, there was a decline as the season went on. I think Agatha was more popular.

 

I think season 2 will be better for it. It'll be more Daredevil than we got, so I think it'll bring in the more casuals.

Also it's a mature rated show, it's probably not going to be able to compete with other shows like that.

 

I agree it will be better, I'm just not sure that the general Marvel audience will be aware of the change in writing

 

I think the word of mouth once we're getting more Daredevil fights, like a hallway scene, that people will start to take notice more.

I wonder if it being a continuation of the netflix series hurts it to the general audience too. They might not want to watch the OG and say screw the new show. That and the mature rating could be alienating to some people. I mean the show I watched last night sure as hell wasn't one you can sit down with the family to watch and that's a lot of the MCU audience. I think it'll do fine for the show it is. At least I hope so.

It's also quite possible that now that the finale is out, we'll see a huge push on socials of clips and memes that'll hype people up leading into next year.

This season ended on a high note but as a whole was pretty uneven/underwhelming

The new batons are so tacky, I miss when he'd do a flip into a kick for no apparent reason

 

I'm not getting my hopes up that the team isn't just more regular people and probably White Tiger. I feel like y'all are jumping to the Defenders and we're gonna end up disappointed.

 

I sure hope so!

 

This isn't an actual criticism I have of the show, but it's kinda weird for them to use Cole North here and mischaracterize him so hard

 

I miss the unnecessary backflips as he runs across rooftops lol

The only thing I hated about this season is the main bad cop throughout the season. I really hope Frank fucks him up or Matt beats his ass again next season.

 

I'm going to assume it's the typical MCU yarn of having a character written first and attributing a known name to them afterwards.

 

It's still so wild that nothing really came of Matt beating the shit out of those cops when not in costume lol. No mention from those two cops thinking he's faking being blind, etc.
