A more serialized, episodic version of the show with an overarching 2-3 plot lines may be what they’re going for. I was never really much of a fan of the 2-half thing that they tended to do on the Netflix shows but Daredevil and S1JJ were the clear standouts
Henry's comment makes me think about how some anime make special recap episodes to bring people up to speed, even in the middle of a season, where it makes no sense. And that's how I imagine this, Henry just watching the recap episodes.
I don't think any of them are bad, but then, I typically judge what I intake by how much fun I'm having consuming it.
Yeah an 18 episode season of any show is pretty absurd these days, doing it in the constantly overly long and drawn out, often just bad Disney+ realm is fucked. Unless they’re doing 11 minute episodes, then it will only be a little tedious
the bad/average D+ shows have suffered from too few episodes tho, not too many. I have not seen a single person complain that these shows have been drawn out lol, they're rushed to the point that plot beats barely register and there's little character development
We live in such a dark age, where a normal season of television is too much to handle. And if it's too much because you don't like it, then just don't watch it, dorks.
We don’t even know how long the episodes will be. It could be 18 hours for them all or 9 hours, or somewhere in between. Judging episode count at this point is such a weird silly point to be mad about.
It could also be broken up into arcs where we get 6 episodes then a 3 week break or something to make it easier to keep up with.
It's Charlie and Vincent so there's already a high floor for me on this. If they bring back Bullseye and continued from that, the floor would be higher. Not gonna count on or expect that obviously
they’re rushed because they fuck around and waste time for a bunch of pointless episodes and then try to pack everything into the last couple episodes.
The union crew workers for the Netflix show got more benefits as the show progressed and with this being a new show they'd lose that
