Guessing episode 5 was what most of the show was going to be like originally for Disney+? Glad that didn’t happen.
the original version was described as a courtroom drama so if anything 2/3 are the most obvious culprits so far actually
The references to Mrs. Marvel were painful. Honestly if Yusuf had played a trailer of her showto Matt on an iPad it would've probably been more digestible.
Episode 5 was awful imo, agreed that the Ms. Marvel references were out of place and very very cringe. The episode totally disrupted the flow of this season. It felt like an attempt to mcu-ify the Daredevil series, to bring it in line with a more conventional mcu production in contrast with the darker tone of the original show, and the results were not good. Glad that version of the show was scrapped for the most part. The other episodes have all been good, but nothing has come close to the original Netflix series for me yet.
Haha you enjoyed the episode and that’s great. I wasn’t a fan though and found it jarring in amongst the other episodes
Episode 5 was great fun, needed the levity considering the tone of the rest of the series. Showed Matt getting his grove back too.
I liked how Matt agreed to dinner with Yusuf's family and then just walked away without any contact information, date, or address lol
I actually would love to see him go to dinner with them and meet Kamala. I want more superhero team ups with Daredevil now that he's linked to the MCU
It would be pretty funny to me if we get a Ms. Marvel team up before Spider-Man, but what would be even funnier to me is if he becomes the mentor of the Champions. Can you imagine?
We need more silly matt. maybe not on his own show but just liek in general. Give him all the funny teamups
Matt just shows up unannounced. "Uhh actually we had a pretty long day. We were just gonna throw a Digiorno in and call it a night"
If there was anything race related to that, I apologize for liking the comment haha I just never even considered that it could be. Just seemed like a random silly joke about Matt's powers to me
It wasn’t a racist thing. There was some throwaway line in the original series about his sense of smell being so good he could smell something someone ate days ago. They talk about it in House of R all the time. If that came off as racist I apologize, was just trying to make a joke about not liking a certain type of food. I didn’t mean any harm
