don't know what's going on in this thread tonight but episode 5 was one of the strongest so far. great to see Kamala's dad and Matt just in his element doing cool shit without feeling beholden to an overarching story, honestly the most this season has felt like s1 so far. the leg snap was absolutely brutal too 6 was fine, too much stuff happening all at once again but I liked the final fight and Angela is definitely the most interesting out of the new characters. that shot of Matt coming out of the red train lights was nuts
Oh, whoops. Looks like people from Runaways, Agent Carter, and Agents Of SHIELD, none of which are likely to meet with her about a "Young Avengers" style group, although I'd love for Robbie "Ghost Rider" Reyes to find his way back.
Feel like the only one who thought episode 5 feels so out of place in the Daredevil series. Definitely felt nothing like season 1 but it was fine
5 definitely felt disconnected, but I enjoyed it. Felt much less serial and more comic book-y in that we just get to watch Murdock use his abilities to stop a bank robbery. Enjoyed the fight with Muse. DD swinging around the city still looks goofy.
season 1 wasn't just Fisk stuff there was a lot of standalone entries that would just connect to his name at the very end, almost exactly like 5 did with that Luca guy
I just hate the audio and video of this show, why does it not look 4K on my 4K TV? I know streaming services compress shit, but I've seen other 4K stuff on D+ that looks fantastic
Great two episodes. Fun fact: Adam was played by Benson & Moorhead's frequent collaborator. edit: nevermind, it was just one of their movies.
interesting, I just looked at his credits and didn't recognise anything from Benson and Moorhead. where did you find this out?
He was in Spring. But I could’ve sworn he had cameos though. So my bad, I guess I’m going crazy. Just the one movie. lol
that's still cool! haha you mighta confused him with the guy who does the card tricks in The Endless, he works on pretty much everything they do
Speaking of Benson & Moorhead, they directed the last two episodes of the season. So I wouldn’t be mad if we got a double episode again in two weeks to end it. They can just push Andor even harder during the little gap between shows.
Give da New Yawkah an Emmy episode 5 was silly, and the fights made no sense - Matt should have been able to wipe the floor with low level henchmen with minor fight training
Without having seen the episode, I will say that rewatching Daredevil Season 1 and 2, I had forgotten how brutal almost every fight felt for Matt, even against generic thugs. Guy took a lot of punishment.
