I started a rewatch of the Netflix series, and man it's so much better right from the beginning and LOOKS better visually. Not to say I'm not also loving this show. Still probably the best D+ Marvel show out there. But it kinda looks like crap on my OLED in Dolby vision in comparison. I hear episode 6 will have the original stunt coordinator back, so that should be sweet. Hoping for Punisher next week with how this week's episode ended.
Liking this show so far. I’m guessing someone else will take up the mantle of White Tiger before the season ends. The actor who played Hector died the December before they began filming the show with the reinvented crew. It was just their way of bringing closure to that character.
God I hope so. It would be such a payoff for Netflix fans who understood the reference in Jessica Jones. Doubtful though since they never cast the role.
Hopefully the made sure to keep casting and on set stuff under wraps so people wouldn’t know a new white tiger appears. That would have given away something happening to Hector before the episode aired, but maybe I’m also coping because I want another white tiger to appear
I don’t know much about Daredevil besides the broad strokes and the previous series so I don’t know who that character is but damn that was a pretty dark episode. From the commentary on the system to the conversation underground to the Fisk reveal. All pretty dark. And that’s not even including the Bone Collector ass vibes coming off that final scene
Really big fan of how much this show is criticizing the criminal justice system without making it look unrealistically/unbelievably evil. Never would've expected an MCU Disney+ show to talk about the actual root cause of the cycle of non-violent crime and how the system of deterrence through punishment doesn't address it at all (and very often makes it worse).
love that they put a huge picture of Berthal in the thumbnail on D+ so there's no surprise whatsoever
ok yeah this was very good. you can still see the seams between the lawyer show and the superhero one but they're both getting so good I don't really care. absolutely top notch acting from Bernthal and Cox in that scene, had chills everywhere when Matt shouted "HE GOT LIFE". also cheered way too loud when Fisk said "when I was a boy" lmao still don't really understand what they're doing with Tony Soprano Jr's character though, he's a great actor but the character just seems like a waste of show time
The We Built This City gag got me. Daniel is incredibly irritating but I feel like he’s supposed to be
