Wasn't sure if i would like this one, but man, i haven't listened to a full Danny Brown album since Old. This is fantastic.
This is fantastic and clearly the album he needed to make at this point in his life, I'm so happy he's sober and doing better. I did a discog run before diving into this one and Danny is a true fucking artist in every sense of the word, every single one of his albums is fantastic and different from the other ones and this is no exception. Insane that the same guy who put out Scaring the Hoes this year made this too Not sure this one will have the replay value that some of his others do for me but definitely strikes me as more of a mood album
I think this will have more replay value for me than he previous projects, honestly. I like that he balances his voice with some down to earth tracks with a more traditional flow. My brother and I always get each other the same record for Christmas, and we landed on this one this year.
holy shit there's so many more of these scattered around that he just played on various streams and hasn't released the song with Iglooghost makes Atrocity Exhibition sound like Grown Up, goddamn
First listen of this I was like... cool record. Second listen I'm like... whoa there's some great stuff here. Stay tuned for third listen someday.
Still love this record and wish we had more down-to-earth Danny Brown tracks. "Bass Jam" is so, so beautiful.
