Got the biggest smile on my face when I realized he was singing Andre 3000 on "Today." This album is so good.

Loving how relentlessly strange this is lol. Every time I think I heard the weirdest song I hear another one

 

Pass Dat is still my favorite for that activity haha

 

Holy fuck I love this

The music is just absolutely crazy, and he flows like crazy over everything. Ain't It Funny is incredible and I like how Golddust was almost industrial rock.

I'll have to give it a few more listens to see if it tops XXX but this is definitely better than Old (which I also loved). I have a feeling this is his best work so far though

 

This is pretty fucking great. I love how he does what he wants and doesn't give two fucks what anyone else thinks.

 

I need to listen to it again to get a good idea on standouts/etc but first listen was excellent

 

I listened three times so I'm allowed to say ITS ONE OF THE YEARS BEST.

 

i've listened through 3 times but i've listened to that mid section like 10 times

 

I'm only halfway through my first listen, so I'll reserve further judgement, but my ears are pleased.

 

I just dislike when we started talking about where things fall in a discography a day after albums come out lol

 

On second listen and this is clicking a lot more, no one but Danny could do a lot of this.

 

That Ab Soul part about his moms wedding ring and becoming a writer is so awful. My friend made an excellent point yesterday when he was high that maybe to get a Kendrick verse sometimes he's like "yeah but you have to take this Ab Soul verse too"

Danny said in a podcast that at one point he was going to have RTJ on that track.

But yeah, the AB Soul verse reallllyyyy sticks out.

 

That verse just makes the Earl verse sound even better

 

almost surprised there isn't a q verse somewhere on here because they're so chummy and have been hanging so much over the past year or so. then again he's got some ad libs on pneumonia.
