How did you feel about the openers? I thought they were all decent at best but I loved Zelooperz's energy, especially the end. When he was done crowd surfing and was just rapping in the middle of the crowd he was literally right in front of me

 

i got there right before zelooperz. he was fine, energetic but not necessarily that good? guy right before danny was, in the words of my friends, a discount asap ferg lol

 

Yeah basically how I felt about Zelooperz, though I did really like a few of his songs. Wasn't crazy about Maxo Kream but a lot of the crowd seemed to be really into him, the only reason I had even heard of him before the show was because he got arrested a few weeks ago lol

There was a local guy opening first who was actually pretty decent (Matt McGhee or something like that?) and then Innanet James who I enjoyed

 

didn't care for the openers at all

 

Cell Boomin was one of my favorite songs from all of last year, so seeing that was more than enough for me. Same with what little we got of Fetti.

 

I think so yeah but still 2011. Worth noting cause it's dope

This album is super interesting to me. Easily the weirdest album I've heard this year (and I mean that as a compliment). I've listened 5 or so times and each playthrough gives me something new to appreciate. Not sure at all how it will stack up for me at the end of the year but I will certainly regard it as one of the most provocative, innovative albums I've heard in 2016.

 

Late on this as always but this album is bonkers. "Tell Me What I Don't Know" blew my friggin mind

 

fell off super hard for me.

 

It's perfect. Don't listen often because it's very much a front to back record experience rather than being able to pick out specific songs and I gotta be in a very specific mind frame, but those aren't bad things at all. The record is a huge accomplishment and a huge career high

 

Definitely one of the best rap albums of the year, probably one of the best in general
