2 separate strangers have showed me their How Hi Are You tattoos while I was wearing my Hi How Are You shirt

 

If he adds a Dallas date, I'll probably go.

I only discovered him because of the doc, but this thread is a good reminder to explore his catalog more.

 

i've listened to 1990 a few times, really good, gotta dig deeper

this seems like a weird show

 

Bit of confusion here, is the film going to show as part of the ticket we purchased for the concert? Or is that a pre-screening sort of thing?

 

I believe they show the documentary at 8 then he goes on like 930 but my show isn't until Saturday

 

Gotcha, so the 7 PM start time is for the Doc. That works, we were going to watch it last night but never got around to it

I'm glad they showed the documentary beforehand because I had forgotten most of the details and his story is so integral to his music

and there was something really powerful about seeing him, setlist had pretty much every song I'd want to hear except for Devil Town

The Devil and Daniel Johnston is one of my favorite movies and I love his music. They're both the kind of art that changes you. Seeing him on his final tour would be an incredible experience.

 

Bunch of his albums went up on streaming sites

 

hearing him in a commercial was jarring

 

Daniel passed away.

 

Still is. What a huge bummer.

 

RIP. Daniel's influence was so incredibly massive.
