I have wondered for a while why Andrew Wells wasn’t made an official member, and this explains it. He’s the one who turned it down.

 

that’s a good thing for me. although I enjoyed his contribution to Lyrics Lie.

 

Only just noticed this post. Looks like I have the Robot 2.5 demo with Zac!

 

Nice! That and Spooks were the only 2 demos that had Zac parts, BUT I just realised that a Robot 2.5 demo without Zac is out there too, that one is almost 100% like the final song (whereas Zac's wasn't I don't think!)

The Jonny songs sound too easy for Tilian. Backwards Pumpkin Song sounds fantastic though. I’d love to hear Andrew do Jonny’s vocals for a set.

theres some songs here I wouldnt have included but wow Im super impressed by how well done this thing sounds its crazy how talented they are

 

I wonder if that’s a vocal effect Tilian is using during the outro of Inspire the Liars or if he’s using more vibrato on purpose. Interesting sounding regardless. Also, this explains why he sounds more natural during Blue Dream than other Jonny era songs.

 

I dont see how that would make it harder on the instrumentalists unless they had to swap out to a specially tuned guitar or something - idk its just a couple steps so play further up the fretboard

 

Not sure if this is a dumb question but how does the guitarists playing up give him more “power?”

 

simply he can sing with more oomph when its more in his natural range

In his post he mentioned that he posted them for his 37th birthday... and damn. I had no idea he was that old. Thought he was around 30-33.

He would have to make Eidola a side-project instead of his main.

im honestly not sure now but Id be surprised if he was around for solo material pre the time hes been with dgd. he only came around in 2018 I think.

I mean the background vocals on the last chorus of Lyrics Lie. I like what he did there.

 

Andrew Wells has played live guitar for Tilian solo shows, but Tilian plays guitar on the studio recordings.

Andrew has been playing live with DGD since 2015. Been a long time!
