I liked The Greatest of All Lost Arts back in the day, I should revisit that album. EDIT: just hit play on To Satellite, this still slaps
You are not alone in those thoughts. But a lot of people seem to just overlook it because it's catchy. I do not. It's funny to me too because back when Johnny first quit they wrote that super long post and dragged him talking about how lame his lyrics were on DBM. "I Fear I Can't Believe It's You" Which I never understood because while not great, it's no "Save my soul, cause I'm one in a Million" bad. This is one of those albums that I think people would lose their minds if it were released today. It's so damn good from start to finish. The opening closing of To Satellite/Namaskar are wonderful and there is some seriously catchy bangers in between.
I agree partially, but they would need to lose the very late 2000s breakdowns that happen a little too often though.
they need to all gtfo, haha. ruins the flow of every song, and Matt's strength is clean singing, not screaming.
I still play Lower D regularly and have been very hyped on their return. The last new EP when they didn't have the original line-up was pretty good, but the production felt flat. I always called them a band that was really unique-sounding but seemed to add in some unnecessary breakdowns to appeal to the kids. Eddie's guitar work deserves more love than it got. Remembering they did a 10 year anniversary show with the OG line-up that I was bummed to miss because I never did get to catch them live.
I went with Pussy Vultures The Backwards Pumpkin Song Hot Water On Wool I'm Down With Brown Town Need Money Carve Strawberry Swisher Pt 3 Shark Dad Eagle Vs Crows Philosopher King Chocolate Jackalope Midnight Crusade Count Bassy Calamiento Global Night Sway
Sounds good. Tilian previously compared his upcoming album to Tides of Man - Dreamhouse, and I can hear that coming out already.
Yeah if this leans into his Tides of Man days (which this clip sounds like it is) I will be very happy. Loved Dreamhouse.
Definitely. Here's the new song btw. I like it, not blown away, but I hope the rest of the album is in a similar vein.
