Fair point. They definitely have a bit of a “formula” to their music now.

I said the same stuff about Chucky being formulaic and the rest of the album was pretty varied so if I set my expectations low enough, I might be able to like this album

 

Probably the best DGD set I've ever seen. Banger after banger. Their stage presence has only increased with age and this tour they're inserting instrumental background music between songs which helps a TON in my opinion. It fits their vibe and also fills in the awkward silences while the band catches their breath. Especially since Tilian and Jon don't talk much between songs (which is fine). Tilian's singing was great compared to the other times I've seen him and his dancing is hilarious. Jon was the best sounding Jon I've ever heard live. He was hitting these long notes that almost left me in awe. They did really well.

 

Anyone interested in buying this drum head? It was used by and drawn on/signed by Matt. I bought it from them on the IG tour. It's been hanging on my wall but I'm just not that big a fan anymore

 

Getting excited for the new tour. Hoping for some changes to the set list. Besides the Mothership tour it seems they have been playing about the same set for the past few years.

 

Seems like some new music might be on the way. Friday?

 

What makes you think that soon? I haven't been keeping up.

Pretty damn good song. Didn’t love Tilian’s lyrics or melodies as much, but Will is as impressive as ever. Mess is still as entertaining as ever. 8/10

yeah tilian wasnt catchy at all in this and hes normally pretty good at that when thats what theyre going for. weird

 

I liked that chorus a lot. It's getting more and more apparent Tilian is writing melodies in line with modern pop but DGD instrumentals are still classic DGD. Bless this Mess.

 

"I'm not ever growing up, woah-oh-oh" is one of Tilian's catchiest hooks ever, not sorry.

 

Ill listen again but it didnt seem like a good hook on first impression

and hes written ALOT of good hooks for this band

 

It sounds like the rest of their recent albums, it’s all fine but blurring together for me

the production on this is so much better balance than what we got on AS, Mess and Til sound clear and full.
