I don’t want Kurt back in A Lot Like Birds, honestly. Buuuuut, if this mends their relationship enough for maybe a few live performances or guest spots in the future, that’d be cool.
From what I’ve heard this is basically the “solo album” Sergio had been working on being rebranded as a band since Sergio decided to bring Kurt in as vocalist. Joe was already involved as the session drummer so they just decided to give it a band name.
No Place might be the best "Swan-core" related album. Maybe tied with Happiness (and I'm also really enamored with DBM2 and Death Star so those are close runnersup)
I don’t know anything definitive, and tbh I think the band isn’t even sure yet. But I know there’s been talks, and Kurt and Franzino are cool again.
Damn! I wouldn't be mad or anything if Kurt rejoined. I love Conversation Piece and No Place. It'd be cool. If he comes back though, I'd love for Cory to still have lead clean vocal parts. I guess I want to change my original statement to, I don't want Kurt back in ALLB, buuuuuut, I'd still be excited if he did rejoin. I'm glad that at minimum, it seems they've gotten to be on better terms though.
Yeah that’s basically where I’m at too. Honestly I think Kurt could kill it with the sound the band has been going in... I’m excited for whatever happens.
I'd be really curious to see how they'd handle Divisi songs live with Kurt back in. Would Kurt just take a break during those ones? haha I also will say, I really wouldn't want them to go as, for lack of a better word, psychotic with the songs like the first two. Maybe a bit more experimental than Divisi could be cool, but I don't think they need to make another No Place.
