I would love to see them collaborate with Kurt for a new song.

 

It would be cool but I definitely don't think they *need* a singer change... Tilian's doing great with them.

 

Really digging the new track they released for Warped. Too bad I'll be out of town on my date. WOuld have like to see them live for the first time.

 

Oh I'm not saying to replace Tilian completely. I just mean one new song with Kurt guest vocals.

 

It's a pressure-creates-diamonds thing for me. They sound best when there's some turmoil and uncertainty. They play it so safe with Tilian imo.

 

i dont know if its them playing it safe as much as it is Tilian's writing style. Tilian is a pop writer. i personally love it, but if you prefer the less structured writing of craig or travis, i can understand not liking tilian.

 

Kurt writing is structured af though. I just think their songwriting is pretty stale these days and a new singer would help break that up. Having this many albums with one singer is just asking for stagnation for this band given all the turmoil they've been through.

He sounds good but definitely my least favorite of the three. Kurt goes in between actually singing and just yelling. Works most of the time for him, but not always.

 

I'll go to the grave that Jonny is the best singer but worst songwriter of the bunch. dude obviously has pipes, but can't construct a good melody to save his life.

Agreed. He legitimately has one of my favorite voices in this scene, but just rarely ever makes good use of it.
