Most of the people from these bands are all really nice. The only negative interaction I had was with Will Swan, when he was talking to me for a bit, and then asked me to spot him a few bucks for beer, and when I said no he lost interest and walked away. Figured he was kinda drunk so I just let it slide.
Nice! He talk about new ALLB at all? I'm intrigued to hear how they will sound on the new record since Kurt left.
Yeah, he gave a good amount of info actually, I won't post all of it... basically they're really proud of the album, but there were a couple small delays due to things outside of the actual album process. They wanted to wait until they could be ready to release and promote the album the way they felt it deserved, and now that they've reached that point the rollout is happening soon.
Nice. Are they staying with EVR for it? Also, I'm going to give the album a fair shot. I hope it's good.
i like that Kurt is doing a lot of cool diverse projects, but i hope he isn't spreading himself too thin! i want him to be successful and be in another huge band, not a ton of side projects, but we shall see how it all turns out i suppose!
This is awesome. Definitely hear the D'Angelo vocal vibes...also feels a lot like the new Gambino record in a weird way.
oh sheetttttttttttttt! It sounds like Manipulator mixed with Deathstar haha EDIT: Nvm, the instrumentals sound like a mix of Manipulator and Phantom on the Horizon, and Kurt sounds like he combined his Deathstar and Conversation Piece vocals.
I'm at school and haven't gotten the chance to listen (decided to listen to my Acceptance promo first)... stoked to hear this!
Jonny Craig is definitely overrated. (though I'm sure we've had this conversation a thousand times on here. haha) DBM and DBMII are my least favorite DGD albums. (not saying I don't like either, because I do like those albums. I just think what Kurt did, and Tilian is doing with the band is just way more interesting and enjoyable.)
Jonny has one of my favorite voices in this genre of music, I'll admit that much... however what he does with his voice rarely lives up to its potential.
I can't deny Jonny has a great voice. But yeah, he never uses it all that well. He feels like a contestant on American Idol or (ironically) The Voice. In that he has a great voice, but he stopped there. Never really learned how to use his great voice in an interesting or dynamic way. So it just gets boring.
I'm still not a huge tillian fan, his voice just doesn't do it for me. Not to say he isn't talented, just kind of grates on me
