Agreed. Couple of those names above sound like genuinely made up words/things I have to google for pronunciation.
i remember when the first EP came out i loved it and didnt think anything else would really come of them, but man that album was greatttt
Phenomenal album, I totally agree. They really pushed the limits of what that "scene" is known for sonically.
iTunes, various leak websites. It's alright. Definitely better than the first 2 albums, but low bar there of course.
Honestly it's different than a lot of Jonny's old stuff but I really like it in its own way... his vocal melodies on it are top-notch, he's finally branching out in that respect which I'm thrilled about.
I have only ever liked Jonny in DGD, but I might actually like this Slaves record. 2017 is already weird.
You weren't kidding about the lyrics. It's really just embarrassing to hear someone with his history and continued behavior sing a "woe is me" song about people giving up on him. Not hearing whatever you're hearing about the vocals, though. Sounds like everything else he's done post DBM2.
I think the vocal melodies for me are what make it better than most of his recent vocal work... this one is way catchier.
What BD42 said. I don't really care about DBM2 or any DGD album after Deathstar for that matter. Just thought this particular song was super catchy.
