Woke up and immediately threw this on... I'm already so hooked.

 

Haha so did I. Loving this so far. This has to be their best with Tilian.

 

I'm a weak man. I downloaded the leak.

 

I've never been a big fan of these guys but the three singles that have been released are all killer, that's even more stuff to listen to next week now. October is gonna be real good

 

I think you'll enjoy this a lot... the couple songs you weren't as into were a lot of people's lesser tracks, and some people I've talked to were saying stuff like "Why did they release all the weakest songs as pre-release tracks??"... I don't necessarily agree with that, but a lot of people seem to think it haha

 

Very early impressions from a slightly distracted listen through last night:

- Definitely feels more cohesive than IG with more consistent musical themes, which is good.
- First half seemed stronger than the back half.
- Tilian really shines here, arguably as much as on Tides of Man's last record.
- I suspect I'll end up liking it more than IG, but less than AS.

 

Alright if this is true this is my favorite DGD record. I don't even have to listen to it (but I'm going to. A lot.)

 

Holy shit everyone. This record is amazing. I'll have to see how the replay value is but I'm thinking this is the best DGD record yet.

I guess that's what happens when you finally have a stable line up past two records?

 

Okay I honestly thought at one point DGD was p much cursed and that something would happen with Tilian before the third album. He'd either leave the band to focus on his solo project, get into a roller coaster accident, get called back to his home planet (I had theories). I just figured there was no way they could make it to a third album with a single vocalist, although he is on crutches now, so maybe he just narrowly escaped...

 

I'd love to hear those theories...

It's crazy that AS and IG were their first two consecutive full length albums to have the same two vocalists. Now they've made it to three.

 

Woah so I haven't liked anything since Happiness but this is killing me

 

This is the same vocalist as the last 2 albums? He sounds 100% better on this album.

 

hahahahahaha - just figured out Jon say "cocaine cringe-fest" and not "cocaine christmas" in Flossie Dickey Bounce. I'm a fucking idiot. That song sounds cooler on 2nd listen too - is the (leaked) album version good?

 

Leaked album is very low quality.

 

I'm still avoiding the leak, but, it's cool hearing Tilian use his lower range a bit and doing some more aggressive sounds with it at times. Really is showing him to be a much more dynamic vocalist than Acceptance Speech and Instant Gratification made him seem.

 

Same quality as the leaked Flossie Dickey Bounce basically. Poor quality lol.
