Andrew also said at a show a few days ago the next single is in a couple weeks so that checks out. Wonder if the poor reception to the leaked single caused them to switch singles?

 

I really liked the leaked song personally, feels like they’re experimenting again and I dig it. Also have been a fan of Andrew since the early Eidola days so that probably adds to my enjoyment, I’ve always loved his vocals.

 

"Animal Surgery" is now out there in full.

 

Super catchy hook, I dig it

 

“Trap Door” also now out there.

 

Am I just really out of the loop with leak culture now, or is it weird that random ass individual songs from this album are leaking? I feel like the last 2 or 3 leaks weren’t even singles.

edit: this one is the next single, I feel like I remember two leaks that weren’t though. Might be dumb too. Always possible

 

The 3rd song to leak was intended to be the 3rd single then plans changed. 4th song is a non-single. 5th one now will be the official 3rd single.

Apparently some people have the full album but are only posting it piecemeal like this.

 

This band has always had weird leak stuff. They used to get like weird 12 minute long snippet leaks on kingdom-leaks all the time for each album. Never seen that happen with any other band. Would be like 45 seconds of each song all mushed together to be 12 minutes total. Always assumed that one of the band members was cool with shit leaking and would share with admin over there.

 

Back before streaming was a thing I remember scouring sites for leaks. I specifically remember Matt Mingus tweeting "we got leaked..." right after DTBM2 was leaked and running to find it online.

 

Oh yeah, I remember those. Wanna say Mothership or something around that era I heard the 45 second preview leak version first. But yeah, I also always assumed someone in the band was giving some stuff to Kingdom back in the day. I feel like DGD was the most reliable band to bet on leaking during Kingdom Leak's peaks, and the site seemed to have an especially positive vibe with DGD leaks.

 

completely checked out on this band but chiming in to say i miss kingdomleaks so goddamn much tbh

open for information on this... I have access to other sites but nothing really seems to be as chill/community driven as KL was. (Just like it-leaked back in the day)

 

I would also be interested in where people are finding leaks now. I have not found anything anywhere near the quality of Kingdom Leaks since they shut down.

 

theyre not great alternatives if im gonna be honest lol, the only leak sites left practically exclusively cater to contemporary metalcore and post hardcore, which was fine when my favorite band was erra but i need a place that covers everything the way kl did, even if it did skew in favor of core

also the links on those sites dont always work super well either lmao

 

Trap Door sounds like a typical Tillian era led song. Animal Surgery - Jon rules on this. I can't get into Andrew and the super try hard Gillian hooks. "Lay low you might go psycho" But the rest of him on this track I don't mind. A Shoulder to Cry On - Didn't like the opening but this is my favorite of the 3 songs after that opening.

Just my opinion, I think most of the DGD fanbase will love all of these and the album. I'm not that fanbase any longer and haven't been since Mothership for the most part.

 

it-leaked was an absolute revelation to me back in the day. Discovered so many cool bands because of that site.

It's been gone for a couple years now, maybe longer.

 

Man I remember trying to navigate through the absolute MESS that Strike Gently was back in the day because they’d post leaks. And lots of NSFW content. Too much.

I dig it. Overall better than I was expecting. A lot of cool technical and progressive stuff in the first half. Loses me a little bit in the last 3-4 songs.
