Yeah this doesn’t really do anything for me at either.. damn. I was hoping Andrew would bring it right out the gate but these two songs just sound uninspired and unmemorable.

These are some of their best songs in a while imo - they were getting stale with Tilian and to me the new songs feel like they changed it up just enough

This got me thinking: Now that they've got a vocalist that seems to stay in his midrange a lot, it's close to what I imagined the band sounding like had Matt Geise joined them. I remember him filling in, but their history has been so messy I can't even remember when that happened.

 

He filled in after they kicked Jonny the 2nd time

Already out there, though. It’s a strange one. Not sure how I feel about it.

 

I have barely followed this band until I heard the tracks from the last album. From a purely musical perspective, this singing vocalist is so bland and really lacking in melody.

Yeah.. this is the first release of theirs that I have no interest in which is a bummer. Haven’t liked the singles at all.
