Yeah lol if anything Andrew is much less problematic than the past frontmen of the band (with the possible exception of Kurt). I’ve met him many times over the years at Eidola shows and I’ve always thought he’s a good guy, I’m sure being thrust into such a prominent role in a band with a VERY toxic fanbase can’t be easy.

This is one of my favorite DGD albums. No misses on here for me

 

I never gave JJ a shot bc the whole band felt so ick at the time it released, but I finally spun it a few times recently. It's bloated and somewhat stale, but not as bad as I figured, and a definite rebound from AB. Think I'm familiar enough with it and the new one to do a ranking/tier list.

New album is still new enough that I cannot rank it without some recency bias, but it will be in the top-end of the list without a doubt. And I think it is mainly due to the fact that the "weaker" songs on Pantheon are far, far better than the weaker songs on most of the other albums. But also I am already finding myself pretending Space Cow does not exist lmao

 

This has a number of skips for me but a few absolute all timers. The Stickler and Animal Surgery would already rank in my top tracks by them ever

 

Been listening to DBM too much lately, Pantheon fell off for me. Making a DGDVerse playlist recently tho I am fine with the album as a whole more than the past few where I skipped adding more songs.

 

Been checking this out. It’s good but I’ll never fully enjoy or listen to this band the way I used to. It’s pathetic the way they went about Tilian

 

I’ve accepted the character flaw within me that allows me to enjoy art by really bad people if I like it enough. For a while I really didn’t listen to this band the same way as I did before but when I heard animal surgery it was joever
