Hey, totally fair. Even Swanfest has booked bands outside of the "Swancore" realm, like Knocked Loose and Anthony Green. So there definitely would be some similar acts in there.
fwiw I thought he was being serious because it felt like a level-headed response. You articulated well why Tilian's accusations had legitimacy and that it was mainly the 2nd accusations when he just basically said, "whoops, my bad" that are the most problematic.
OK? Are you only allowed certain opinions with specific numbers? At 50 post you're allowed to say this......at 100 you can venture into this territory.....once you hit 150, go nuts! Pretty sure you had a fucking thought or two you shared back when your post count was at 3. But hey, you flex that weird status badge.
I definitely had a thought or two, but it was probably about music, not defending a dude that had legitimate sexual assault allegations against him.
Neither of them was legit AT ALL. Unless you have proof they were beyond a discredit Reddit post? No? Didn't think so. But I've lurked this site for a while, and I'm not surprised. Having perused the "Accountability" thread(s) it is quite clear very few of you are interested in truth or accountability at all and just need your daily hate boner "accusation" fix.
You had a fellow fan respond to you explaining why the second allegations were more problematic. I’m not wasting more energy on it.
I think it's gone but some post on reddit claimed A Lot Like Birds are dropping a song with a Geoff Rickly feature on Oct 1st
all that touring with geoff got him on a song lol I'm not all that jazzed about andy tbh, sure he's technically good but he ain't no cory at least it got them making new music though, hope I'll be pleasantly surprised. I think I'm in a time of my life where I can appreciate ALLB more than I did in the past
Yeah he's technically good but feels very cookie cutter to me. I hope the split is pretty even or even leans toward Kurt.
Kinda bummed because I thought that Cory album without Kurt was their best output. Still very optimistic about new ALLB though for sure.
You might be the only person that thinks this, haha. Maybe I need to go back and check that out again.
it's nowhere near No Place for me but Divisi is a great album, For Shelley and Trace the Lines are incredible tunes
it is kinda funny to me that no place's follow ups have been/will be an album of no kurt and an album of no cory. while neither was my ideal outcome i currently cannot think of another band like this and the novelty has me weirdly more amicable with how things turned out lmao divisi is very good as its own thing, the last like three or four songs on that all go
I think it might be better viewed as it's own separate project because it's vastly different from any of their other stuff. I just remember connecting with it pretty hard. Hearing For Shelley legit made me cry thinking about Cory's story with his mom and made me want to call my mom haha.
Considering the thread we are in, this kind of happened with DGD when Self-Titled had Kurt/Jon, Happiness had Kurt, then DBM2 had Jon.
i guess thats true lol, i think this band didnt really come to mind since theyve put out so much music since then with jon wheras i dont really expect there to be another allb album after this lol but we'll see
They decided to put out an app which price gouges the fuck out of their fans for some basic ass shit. Just when you think they made a bad decision, they say no...hold on.....we can do something worse. They also might want to re-think having Andrew be the voice of the band, publicly, too. He says the stupidest shit. Bragging about DGD selling out 4,000 seat venues (as a fucking OPENING ACT, dude), still wanting to publicly fight fans who don't like him or the band anymore. I went from loving the hell out of this band to just hitting the skip button when a song comes on "random."
