Album is chaotic as all hell, but this is one of the best songs of the Jonny era though, and I stand by that.

Can't defend the mix though, lmao.

Royal Ocean is unequivocally at the bottom, but it's still rad and no exception to me liking literally everything this band has done.

That said,

 

if they re-recorded Royal Ocean it would be up there with the rest of their discography for sure

I've liked DGD since DBM, and I've never listened to it all the way through. No chance I do it now.

100% agree it's not as good as any of their actual albums—first EPs rarely are, saosin notwithstanding—but the original burning down the nicotine armoire goes hard as fuck. can't imagine liking DBM1 or death star and not liking this

 

I think I went to the WISIRO release show at the boardwalk in Orangevale/Sacramento. Was so fucking chaotic. feels like a lifetime ago

 

Holy shit lol. Had no idea they ever played the boardwalk. Been there a bunch of times. RIP
