Saw them last night, he sounded great on his stuff and Jonny songs, but definitely was struggling on WOTN/Evaporate.

Man, Andrew feels fully indoctrinated by DGD. This combined with some of his "edgy" lyrics on the new Eidola makes this so much more disappointing.

 

I guess that dickhead is still trying to come back.

Also crazy that they got AFTRHR as a feature too. Didn't even know they were still together.

 

yeah brent's pretty much openly said that i the mighty's coming back next year and it seems like the world at large forgot about the reason why they broke up in the first place. absolutely nasty but i can't say i'm surprised bc birds of a feather n what not.

Hey sorry for the random bump, I stopped following this band after the Tilian stuff came out. But I saw they were on a tour coming up and he’s not in the band anymore. Their wiki’s a mess, can anyone update me on what’s happened with them the last few years?

 

Not a lot, just that Andrew Wells is the singer now, and I think they have someone touring and playing guitar so he can focus on just vocals.

 

They’ve been cagey about it saying just creative differences but both Andrew and Tilian have said some petty shit lately. Latest being Tilian tweeted and deleted this in response to someone on Twitter lmao

This is wild. As someone who saw them live with both Tilian and Andrew fronting, I think Andrew is objectively better for this band. Better range for the Jonny/Kurt songs, and he can still get pretty damn high for the Tilian ones. He’s also just much more consistent live, Tilian was rough when I saw them. That was probably the furthest from record I’ve ever heard from a vocalist.

Plus, let’s be real, Eidola lyrics clear anything Tilian has written too. What a weird salty fartsniffer.

 

Eidola's lyrics used to be cool, but lately it's horrible. Couldn't make it through the newest album.

Also Tilian and Andrew seemed super tight when they were in the band together, Tilian's comments come off super salty. Probably why he deleted it.

Couldn’t agree more. Tilian’s voice gradually becoming more and more raspy on the albums also made it hard for me to listen. And yes, I saw them on the first tour they did with Andrew on vocals and I was sooo pleasantly surprised. Excited for the new album with him at the mic. His vocal parts on JJ are highlights for me.

At this point they should just go full nuclear and bring Jonny back. I mean, they are already so "blah" that it doesn't even matter anymore.

 

I'd still wait a few years and allow Andrew to build his legacy with this album and maybe one more.

25th anniversary will be in 2030 I think. By then it would be cool if we saw full album performances of Happiness, DBM2, and one of the Andrew albums.

Both Kurt and Zac are down to do a Happiness album performance and it has been talked about. It's just a matter of when
