Though to be fair I always preferred Sianvar to HtS. HtS did a great job though opening for Foxing/Circa last year

 

Conversation piece is on par with DGD at their best and it deserves more recognition as such.

i love Donovan's voice, and i think that him and Will remain good friends, and them breaking up Sianvar is probably key to them maintaining a good relationship.

i'm not entirely sure how i feel about sianvar being repurposed as royal coda, because the first royal coda had a distinct sound and that means this new album is going to be extremely different than the first one, but i'm also really excited about hearing the sianvar sound with kurt singing!

 

Did anyone check out the Ar Se instrumentals yet?

I’ve played this new song Perfect like 5 times in a row this morning.

 

I believe the two new songs were B-sides to DBMII, and the band just remastered and re-released them.

Perfect sounds like an early demo of Purple Reign

 

These songs were originally released back in 2011. Not sure what was changed tbh but supposedly they’re remastered.

 

Meh, haven't listened to any DGD with Jonny since his dirtball-ness came out so neither of these did much for me. (Yes, I know he isn't on People You Knew but still didn't do much for me.)

 

Pretty sure I bought a 7" with those two songs on it from Hot Topic back in the day.

 

Perfect is pretty boring for this band so it always got the skip on the iPod Classic.

yeah these b sides already came out literally on the same day as dbm2

 

I really liked both of those B-Sides back in the day, the guitars in both are great and Perfect hit quite hard for that brief time where we thought it was their last ever song! But I haven't listened to a DGD song with Jonny in for a long time.

First single from Royal Coda's second album (essentially what the cancelled Sianvar album turned into). This is awesome, can't wait to see them live tomorrow.

 

Uh, didn't know Kurt and Will were in a band together again. I like this

 

Hopeful that X will be fresh with dog-whistling absent from the lyrics.
