I asked my friend to burn me a CD with the new Chiodos "Bone Palace Ballet" on it. He threw on DBM on the back end and I got into them on accident I guess. This was October of 2007 I think and have been a fan ever since. One of the most consistently good bands I've heard.
No, that was a Spring B/C market tour that ended in May, with Dance Gavin Dance, Veil Of Maya and Limbs This is leg two, in the Fall, with DGD/The Plot In You and an unannounced opener
I'm not a fan of new Underoath, new VoM, or any of those bands listed above. If Underoath, VoM, and DGD toured at any point together before 3 years ago i'd of caught 2 dates.
Of course they are skipping over DC/Baltimore area. Saw them earlier this year in Baltimore so I can't complain, but still ;)
Between these 2 album tours and a festival in August I’ll have seen UO 3x in like 7 months and DGD 3x in just over a year. Damn good year.
the new underoath album is so terrible but I guess I’ll stick around to see if they play any disambiguation or lost in the sound. really want dgd to do another headlining tour before this album cycle is over though
I’m sure they’ll play paper lung and either breathing in a new mentality or too bright to hear. As much as I love the new album I have a feeling they’ll pretty much be playing the same set list the rest of their careers.
what a shame. glad i caught them on the disambiguation tour. probably wont stick around for all of their set if its gonna be like that then.
That said, couldn’t hurt to peep the setlists once the tour gets going. Their last headliner had a relatively short set. With a 4 band bill this may be the same but I’m hoping they switch it up too.
Been on a big Kurt kick lately. Tillian is really hit or miss for me, but damn, I just love all of Happiness. Their best album IMO.
Tilian is far from hit or miss for me, I think all his stuff is great, but happiness will always hold an extremely special place in my heart
Tillian’s grown to be my favorite. I really like his takes on the Kurt and Jonny tracks off Tree City Sessions. Still gotta have Happiness as my favorite record overall
Jason Ellis (bassist on Happiness) will be playing with Royal Coda on their upcoming tour. Pretty cool!
