Yeah? Personally it was my least favorite of the 3. Not that it was bad (not even close, still a great track), just my least fave of the 3. Not sure if it factors into anything but I am a relatively new DGD fan though and still making my way through their discog.

 

Anyone think we'll get a fourth single this Friday? I'm leaning towards no, but they've done it before...

 

This band is my guiltiest of pleasures, and everything I have heard so far from this new album has been awesome. I wouldn't mind if they got rid of Mess and leaned in harder with Tilian.

 

They would never “get rid” of Mess.

Will is 40%, Matt is 25%

The other 10% is whoever happens to be in the band that week (although at this point Tilian is probabmy way more than 10%)

 

His screaming is whatever to me and not needed, detracts from songs. Now I don't want everyone to get pissed at what I am saying I understand what Dance Gavin Dance is, I just prefer clean vocals.

 

A 23-minute album preview leaked, 90 seconds of each song and the entirety of “Gospel Burnout”. Sounds nice

The entire thing sounds more like Issues-style pop-r&b infused metalcore with a Swancore twist.

Story Of My Bros is totally a pop-punk jam (also, Mess saying "pussy" every few line)

Also: Gonna say Tilian's parts sound like a mix of Acceptance Speech and DBM II and Jon's sound like Death Star and IG

 

Who's doing the guest vocals on Evaporate? They sound so sick?

He is, on Shelf Life

But a super deep thick solid rock voice has an entire verse on Evaporate

 

So I'm just gonna be honest: Count Bassy, Hair Song and Gospel Burnout all sound like they're gonna be clunkers tbh.

This preview sounds super promising on first brush, especially instrumentally (some of the vocal melodies for choruses seemed a bit weak though). Definitely a more ambitious/proggy vibe than a record like IG, which is what I wanted.

 

I wish I hadn’t listened to the preview because now I’m so impatient for the full thing haha

 

I only checked out Gospel Burnout from that since it is the full song, but I wasn’t digging it much.
