i like the songwriting best on acceptance speech but Tilian undoubtedly sounds his best on mothership, and maybe i just spun IG too much when it came out but i don't go back to it much

 

Its very hard for me to feel out whats the best Tillian album. They all have great and bad songs.

 

IG is probably my favorite. I get a little exhausted during Mothership, and IG blows by for me. AS would be so much better if it didn't sound so processed.

 

AS has the most good songs. IG has the most great songs.

Mothership has the most bad songs

 

It has Flossie Dickey Bounce, so this is correct.

 

Exposed sounds like a rock version of an Ellie Goulding B-side

 

Mothership has at least 9-10 excellent songs.

 

After looking it over, only Flossie Dickey Bounce is a truly bad song

I would skip at least 7 of these in a DGD shuffle playlist though. Inspire the Liars is the only *great* song

those are my Tilians picks. if these were all an album it would be as good or better than Death Star and Happiness. but alas I think theres a bunch of stinkers in there alongside the good stuff on the last 3 albums.

 

Yeah, I'm not big on that one either.

Top tier chorus for sure.

Young Robot is probably my favorite Tilian song, but Variation is a beast in and of itself.

 

Death of a Strawberry and Awkward are probably my fav IG tracks

This is the promoted band on the Chorus homepage right now, checked it because it featured Tilian on vocals. Apparently the band doesn't have a vocalist right now so Tilian does the whole song... and it's my favorite Tilian song in a LONG while. I've wanted him to return to Tides of Man style for a while, and this song delivers on that! So good.

 

That was cool, but I still like the recent DGD output better.

 

I love his stuff with DGD don't get me wrong... but Tides of Man is still my favorite thing Tilian has done, so it was cool to hear him return to something similar for a track.

 

Top tier Tilian, IMO. Acoustic version is great as well. That bridge tho.

 

Easily one of his best songs.

Top Tilian track ever - Statues by ToM. I remember I made a thread on AP about Dreamhouse and Tilian himself posted a few times in it thanking us for our support!

 

Best Tilian track ever is Western Scene and it's not even close.
